Two Cases of Eosinophilic Granuloma of the Skull

Abstract
Eosinophilic granuloma has been occasionally reported in the literatures since Otani and Enrlich first reported it.
It is a benign lytic lesion of bone arising from the reticuloendothelial system as a part of the spectrum of the disease complex known as histiocytosis-X. When the skull is involved, the lytic lesion is almost invariably in the membraneous bones of the calvaria.
It commonly responds well to curettage and radiotherapy. In some cases it may regress spon-taneously without treatment.
We present two cases of eosinophilic granuloma occurred in the left parietal region and the right mastoid one respectively.
